You will drive service improvement, governance, and workforce development in collaboration with clinical and support teams. Your leadership will ensure HTA compliance, UKAS standards, and regulatory adherence while shaping future service resilience. You will work across organisational boundaries to deliver consistently high-quality mortuary services. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Development opportunities /li li Employee assistance programme /li li Discounted gym membership /li li Onsite fitness classes /li li Car schemes /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Ensure delivery of high-quality, safe mortuary services with HTA licensing and UKAS compliance /li li Lead and develop Anatomical Pathology Technologists and support staff, including workforce planning, training, appraisal and performance management /li li Drive continuous improvement, quality assurance and compassionate care /li li Govern governance, risk, audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions across sites /li li Collaborate with clinical teams, bereavement services, coronial services, funeral directors and support departments to ensure seamless service delivery /li li Contribute to strategic planning, service development and innovation /li li Develop and implement policies, procedures and business continuity plans to support resilience and regulatory compliance /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Level 3 Certificate in Anatomical Pathology Technology /li li Level 4 Diploma in Anatomical Pathology Technology (minimum requirement may be inferred as Level 3) /li li Demonstrable experience managing mortuary services /li li Management or leadership qualification or equivalent experience /li li Substantial post-qualification experience /li li Expert knowledge of Anatomical Pathology Technology /li li In-depth understanding of ISO15189:2022 accreditation, HTA and Health and Safety legislation /li li Senior supervisory experience in a mortuary setting /li li Experience of managing change /li /ul ul li Excellent communication skills /li li Effective influencing and motivational skills /li li Expert knowledge of Anatomical Pathology Technology /li li Understanding of ISO15189:2022 accreditation, HTA and Health and Safety legislation /li li Experience with HR policies and procedures /li li Mortuary practice and post mortem procedures /li /ul
