Overview
Lead and develop the Homebirth Team within Community Midwifery to deliver safe, personalised, woman-centred care across community settings. Provide visible professional leadership, supporting quality improvement, staff wellbeing and a positive team culture in alignment with national guidance and the Trust's objectives. Collaborate with community and maternity colleagues to champion continuity of care and informed choice for homebirth. Drive service development and cross-team partnership while focusing on patient experience and safety.

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Homebirth Team
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality, safe care
- Ensure women/birthing people and families are involved in care planning and delivery
- Develop relationships within the acute Trust, Community Health, and external partners
- Lead on delivery of high-quality care in partnership with senior maternity management
- Promote continuity of care and informed choice for homebirth
- Drive service development, quality improvement, and staff wellbeing
- Foster a positive, inclusive team culture that listens to women’s feedback
Key requirements
- Registered Midwife
- Evidence of mentorship (or equivalent)
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Experience in maternity settings and staff development
- Commitment to service improvement, safety, and positive outcomes
- Ability to lead and work within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
