Overview
In this role you will design and deliver a broad program of activities to support residents’ physical, psychological and social well-being. You will work within a supportive, respectful culture that values compassionate care and resident rights. You’ll develop life stories, plan monthly wellbeing calendars, and coordinate events with staff, families and visitors. You’ll contribute to a positive, safe home image while promoting independence and meaningful engagement for residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide a wide range of activities to engage residents’ physical, psychological and social well-being
- Identify residents’ life history, needs and preferences to create detailed life stories
- Plan and submit monthly activity and wellbeing plans and weekly overviews
- Organise activities, events and outings involving staff, relatives and visitors
- Maintain a safe living and working environment and support the home’s professional image
Key requirements
- Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing dementia setting
- Experience organising activities and events
- Effective communication skills, verbal and written
