Overview
In this role you enable major redevelopment, service improvement and clinical transformation across Bedfordshire’s hospital sites. You will bridge operational services, clinical teams and corporate teams to translate strategic plans into deliverable solutions. You’ll work within the Redevelopment Programme Team to support governance, reporting and continuous improvement, shaping how care is delivered at scale. The position offers exposure to programme management and strategic planning, with a strong focus on collaboration and impact. Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate redevelopment, service improvement and transformation workstreams
- Act as a key link between frontline services, clinical teams, corporate departments and the Redevelopment Programme Team
- Support development of innovative service models and operational solutions aligned with strategic objectives
- Contribute to business cases, option appraisals, service reviews and programme documentation
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to support programme delivery
- Analyze and present complex information to inform governance and decision-making
- Monitor progress, risks and dependencies with escalation as needed
- Prepare reports, presentations and briefing papers for senior leaders and governance groups
- Support continuous improvement and service redesign initiatives for successful redevelopment delivery
Key requirements
- Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in management, healthcare, business administration, project management or related discipline
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to operational management or healthcare management
- Experience managing or coordinating multi-stakeholder projects/programmes
- Experience developing and communicating plans to stakeholders
- Experience preparing reports, presentations and governance documentation
- Experience analysing complex information and presenting recommendations
- Experience collaborating with clinical, operational and corporate teams
- Experience contributing to business cases, option appraisals or strategic planning documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Relationship-building across organisational boundaries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of project/programme management methodologies and governance
- Knowledge of risk management and reporting in complex programmes
- Knowledge of business case development and organisational decision-making
