Overview
In this role, you will provide frontline crisis assessments and brief interventions for children and young people with acute mental health needs. You will work within a multi-disciplinary CAMHS Alliance, collaborating with families and professionals to prevent hospital admissions. The post offers skill development in crisis work and outreach via a CAMHS helpline. You will be supported to grow and apply creative, problem-solving approaches in a dynamic, evolving service. This position appeals to clinicians who want to shape crisis pathways across the West London CAMHS network.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive crisis assessments of children and young people and develop risk management plans
- Deliver brief interventions and outreach to prevent admission to inpatient services
- Support treatment planning and provide consultation to families, carers, and professionals
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver specialist mental health services across CAMHS and crisis pathways
- Engage with CAMHS helpline activities to develop clinical skills in frontline settings
- Contribute to service development, training, and governance within the crisis care pathways
Key requirements
- Doctoral level training in clinical psychology with accreditation or equivalent
- Eligibility to work as Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical/Counselling) with HCPC
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment for children, adolescents and families
- Experience across diverse settings and cultures, including handling emotive situations
- Experience working with children/young people and families and collaboration with other agencies
