Join Bromley CAMHS NDLD team to assess, formulate and deliver evidence-based interventions for children and young people with neurodiversity, especially ASD or ADHD. You will work within a multidisciplinary setting, offering individual and group interventions and contributing to pathway development and training. This role supports service development under the Thrive framework and aims to improve access, timeliness, and outcomes for CYP and families.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist assessments for complex cases to formulate and implement treatment plans for neurodiverse CYP.
- Utilise routine outcome measures as required by the Trust.
- Conduct risk assessments of CYP and families and contribute to risk management.
- Consult to parents/carers within treatment planning.
- Deliver inclusive, culturally sensitive interventions and systemic therapy with families (including interpreters when needed).
- Act as care coordinator, planning and reviewing care plans and coordinating complex multidisciplinary meetings.
- Collaborate with MT and partner agencies, providing specialist consultation and guidance.
- Maintain knowledge of video equipment and promote its ethical use, including training clinicians and using video reviews to support families.
- Contribute to service development, attend professional and team meetings.
- Ensure adherence to Trust policies, risk assessment, and accurate recording in case discussions and reviews.
Key requirements
- Post-graduate qualification in a relevant mental health/social welfare profession.
- Minimum 2 years in CAMHS or with children/families in a relevant setting.
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Experience working with racially and culturally diverse communities.
- Experience with neurodiverse children.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and ethical frameworks and capability to work with child protection issues.
- Ability to assess and manage complex risk.
- Good understanding of child development and related mental health difficulties.
