Job summaryAre you passionate about creating a more sustainable future and making a lasting impact on healthcare? We are looking for an experienced sustainability professional to lead our environmental sustainability programme and help deliver our carbon reduction ambitions in line with the NHS Net Zero commitment. This is an exciting opportunity to build on the strong progress already made through our Green Plan while shaping the next phase of our sustainability journey. Working closely with the Director of Sustainability, you will lead strategic projects, influence change across the organisation, and support colleagues to embed sustainable practices into everyday decision-making. You will alsoline manageone or more members of our joint Sustainability Team, helping to foster a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing culture where innovation and continuous improvement are encouraged. As part of a strategic sustainability partnership between Central London Community Healthcare and West London NHS Trust, you will work across organisational boundaries to deliver shared priorities and maximise environmental impact. Main duties of the jobYou will lead and coordinate the Trust's environmental sustainability programme across the Greener NHS priorities, including: Workforce and system leadershipNet zero clinical transformationDigital transformationTravel and transportEstates and facilitiesMedicinesSupply chain and procurementFood and nutritionClimate adaptationWorking across approximately 90 community sites, you will: Lead and deliver sustainability projects that support the Trust's Green Plan and NHS Net Zero ambitions. Provide leadership,guidanceand support to members of the Sustainability Team. Strong project management,communicationand relationship-building skills are essential. The role includes travel between Trust sites, so flexibility is important.
