Senior Podiatrist - Acute Specialist in London

We are looking for a Band 6 Podiatrist to join our growing dynamic team at Guys & St. Thomas' Hospital. These posts are hospital based at Guys and St Thomas'. The post will involve wound care management and treatment of the high risk foot. The suitable candidate should be self-motivated and have a broad range of post-graduate clinical experience. Patient care takes place in both out and in-patient settings. You will be working within a team and must have good communication skills. There will be supervision and mentoring from colleagues for continual CPD. In addition, regular team meeting updates on Department and Trust positions.

Main duties of the job include managing a high risk caseload and working closely within a multi-disciplinary team using a range of advanced wound techniques in both in-patient and out-patient settings. There will be a 2 day rotational element for treating MSK patients. Candidates must be highly motivated and able to cope with clinical emergencies in a pressurised environment. You will be supervising junior staff and be involved in teaching, taking part in audit/research. The successful candidate is required to demonstrate Trust Values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification.
