Responsibilities
- Assist senior managers with a complete professional financial service to NWLP
- Provide financial advice, guidance and training on budget setting to budget holders
- Record financial transactions and maintain ledger integrity
- Support monthly ledger close, Board Reports and Divisional Finance packs; investigate variances and ensure timely action
- Maintain rigorous financial controls across NWLP
- Ensure financial information is processed and communicated effectively through coordinated work
- Conduct standard analysis of income, costs and balance sheet
- Investigate complex financial enquiries and provide assistance as required
Key requirements
- Experience of working within the NHS or a similarly large organisation
- Experience translating complex data into clear and comprehensive financial models
- Experience of computerised accounting financial systems
- Experience of investigation and analysis into financial issues with precise report writing skills
- Good organiser with realistic time management
- Autonomous with independent decision‑making
- Ability to concentrate on complex data for long periods
