As Service Manager, you will lead the day-to-day running of this therapy-led residential service, creating a safe, supportive and high-performing environment for both clients and colleagues.

Main duties of the job:

  • You will play a central role in shaping the culture and direction of the service, ensuring high standards of care, strong team engagement, and positive outcomes for the people we support, including those with addiction and, in some cases, neurodiversity.
  • Alongside leading your team, you will take ownership of operational performance, ensuring the service is well-run, sustainable and positioned for long-term success, aligned with regulatory requirements and organisational standards set by Priory Group.

About us:

Priory is the UK's leading independent provider of mental health and adult social care. With 12,000 colleagues and a network of 270 services, we support over 24,000 people each year to live their lives as fully and independently as possible. We treat more than 70 conditions including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and children's mental health and provide residential and supported living care for autistic adults, people with a learning disability, Prader-Willi Syndrome, brain injuries and older people.

We are an equal opportunities employer committed to providing an inclusive, accessible recruitment process.

Job responsibilities:

Eden House is an affordable, 18-bed residential service in Mill Hill, North London. It is home to Flourish, our pioneering therapy-led addiction programme offering bespoke treatment for a wide range of addictions in a calm, homely environment. Set within a supportive community, Eden House provides a safe haven away from the stresses of daily life, forming part of our wider network of residential addiction treatment homes across the UK.

Delivered by qualified therapists in a non-medical setting, Flourish offers an alternative to traditional hospital-based treatment. It is suitable for people who do not require a medical detox or ongoing medical care but would benefit from structured therapy, community connection, and practical tools to achieve meaningful, sustainable recovery.

Person Specification Requirements Essential:

  • Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same, and your empathy will help you support people through both the highs and lows of recovery.
  • You will bring a combination of clinical understanding, leadership capability, and a passion for delivering high-quality care.
  • We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
    • Experience working within residential addiction, mental health, or dual-diagnosis services
    • A strong understanding of substance misuse, recovery models, and trauma-informed care
    • The ability to lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams
    • Experience managing risk, including safeguarding and complex mental health needs
    • A good working knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g. CQC) and quality improvement
    • Confidence in managing day-to-day service operations, including staffing and performance
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients, families and professionals
    • A compassionate, non-judgemental approach aligned with recovery-focused care
  • It would be beneficial (but not essential) if you also have:
    • Professional registration (e.g. NMC, HCPC, Social Work England)
    • Experience working in a therapy-led or non-medical treatment setting
    • Experience of working with Local Authorities
