Overview
In this role you will provide high-level managerial oversight of the Neuro Development Pathway for children under six within the Neurodiversity Enfield team. You work closely with senior management to ensure efficient, evidence-based service delivery and timely patient care. You will balance pathway leadership with direct clinical assessment and intervention when needed, while coordinating referrals, bookings, and performance targets. The position offers a chance to shape neurodiversity services within a collaborative, system-wide setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations, planning and performance of the Neuro Development Pathway team
- Collaborate with Senior Management Team and other Team Leaders to ensure timely treatment and safe, successful outcomes for children and families
- Oversee referral, assessment and patient allocation processes and meet performance targets
- Provide clinical assessment and intervention as required
- Monitor clinical recording systems (RiO) for patient flow, bookings, outcomes and waiting times
- Lead weekly huddles and team meetings and participate in meetings to manage patient flow and escalations
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operational Policy and address pathway pressures
- Work with SMT and stakeholders to optimize resources and meet commissioning priorities
- Report to Service Lead and Head of Service and contribute to service improvement and governance
Key requirements
- Postgraduate training in neurodivergence (e.g., autism)
- HCPC registration (and up-to-date clinical registrations, e.g., RCSLT)
- Clinical supervision training
- Level 3 Children’s Safeguarding training
- Significant postgraduate management experience in clinical settings
- Experience in clinical assessment and treatment of preschool neurodevelopmental conditions
- Experience in risk assessment, safeguarding and inter-agency work
- Ability to use RiO, MS Word and Excel for reporting and data analysis
- Experience in teaching, training or supervision
- Experience in delivering evidence-based interventions and routine outcome monitoring
