Overview
You will lead the North West London Primary Care Provider Collaborative as its inaugural Chief Executive, shaping strategy, culture and partnerships to influence primary care at scale. You’ll build the executive team and infrastructure to translate the Board’s vision into a sustainable organisation, working with system partners to improve services for local communities. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery in a dynamic health system, emphasizing inclusion, governance and public stewardship. This is a rare chance to steer a new CIC at a pivotal moment for primary care in a major urban health system.

Responsibilities
- Lead strategic and operational development with the Board to translate ambition into delivery
- Drive primary care transformation with discipline, evidence basis and frontline relevance
- Establish and lead a high-performing executive team and an inclusive culture
- Build trusted relationships with shareholder organisations and system partners
- Identify opportunities for organisational growth including new services and partnerships
- Mobilise new responsibilities transferred to the Collaborative ensuring capability and resilience
- Ensure effective financial stewardship, performance, risk management and responsible use of public resources
- Represent the Collaborative externally across forums
- Champion innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement to adapt to system needs
Key requirements
- Significant executive-level leadership experience in a complex organisation
- Proven track record in organisational development, transformation or growth in healthcare or public sector
- Experience building partnerships across boundaries and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority
- Experience mobilising complex health and care organisations for sustainable improvement
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with delivery in evolving environments
- Strong commercial and financial acumen including NHS contracting, procurement or business case development and funding procurement
- Experience managing significant financial, organisational and reputational risk
- Understanding of primary care contracting landscape (GMS, PMS, APMS, ARRS, Network DES, Enhanced Services)
- Inclusive and collaborative leadership
