Overview
In this role you will lead capital projects from inception to completion within a high-profile NHS programme, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and liaise with clinical, Estates and senior stakeholders to meet governance, budget and regulatory requirements. The position supports complex healthcare capital and fire remediation projects in a live hospital setting, contributing to safe patient care and service continuity. Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle from inception through commissioning and handover
- Lead multidisciplinary design teams, consultants and contractors
- Develop and monitor programmes, budgets, and change control
- Maintain risk and issue registers; ensure governance and assurance
- Provide reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Coordinate with Estates, clinical teams and senior management
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, CDM and health and safety requirements
- Deliver projects within cost, time, and quality targets
Key requirements
- Degree in construction, engineering, building surveying or other built environment specialism
- 5 years’ relevant professional experience delivering complex projects
- Experience in coordinating in-house design and consultant design teams
- Experience with multi-disciplinary project management and governance processes
- Knowledge of statutory project requirements including CDM and HSE directives
- Healthcare capital project experience in live hospital environments (desirable)
