Overview
In this role you will provide specialist neurodevelopmental assessment and intervention within Enfield CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team, collaborating with a multidisciplinary network to support children and young people with complex needs. You will contribute to diagnosis, formulate strengths and needs, and inform evidence-based care plans. The post includes supervision, consultation, and opportunities for research, audit, and service development. A flexible, supportive environment enables work across locations to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Conduct neurodevelopmental and differential diagnostic assessments for children and young people
- Develop and implement evidence-based plans and interventions targeting neurodevelopmental disorders
- Provide consultancy and guidance to colleagues, services, and carers regarding psychological care
- Evaluate treatment options using theoretical and therapeutic frameworks
- Collaborate with schools and multi-agency services to support children in mainstream settings
- Utilise research skills for audit, service development and research within the service
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and team policies
Key requirements
- Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology (or equivalent)
- Registration with the Health Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Experience/interest in working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental needs in mental health services
- Knowledge and experience of risk assessment and safeguarding procedures for young people
