Overview
In this role, you join Camden MOSAIC to support diagnostic assessments for children and young people with suspected neurodevelopmental disorders. Working within the Camden CDT and SCAS teams, you provide highly specialist clinical input and help reduce wait times. You will contribute to service development, training, and governance, while maintaining safeguarding and high-quality patient care. This is a newly funded opportunity to expand diagnostic capacity and improve family experiences.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist clinical support within multidisciplinary Camden MOSAIC Services (CDT/SCAS)
- Deliver diagnostic-focused assessments for neurodevelopmental disorders in children and young people
- Assist in developing training packages for school staff, parents and professionals
- Maintain safeguarding of vulnerable children/young people
- Support achievement of KPIs and quality outcomes
- Contribute to quality governance, audits and team projects
- Supervise identified team members as required
- Support service development led by the Clinical Coordinator of Speech and Language Therapy
Key requirements
- Recognised professional degree in Speech and Language Therapy or Occupational Therapy (minimum 2:2)
- HCPC registration
- Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., autism, ADHD)
- Experience in MDT settings for neurodevelopmental disorders
- Experience delivering training and supervising students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and patient-centered approach
- Proactive and supportive team member
- Specialist knowledge of assessment tools relevant to the profession
- Knowledge of national policies and procedures in the field
- Experience with a range of therapy approaches
