Overview
In this weekend-insourcing role, you will deliver outpatient diabetes and endocrinology care to help reduce NHS waiting lists. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team in a patient-centred setting, applying specialist knowledge to assess, diagnose, and plan follow-up for patients. The position offers flexible weekend sessions and clinically supported environment, with a clear impact on timeliness of specialist care and patient outcomes. You will contribute to service delivery that scales to meet NHS needs while maintaining high clinical standards.

Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose and manage patients safely and effectively
- Interpret clinical findings and diagnostic investigations
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary setting
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior colleagues
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Ensure clear treatment and follow-up plans are documented in accordance with Trust pathways and clinical standards
Key requirements
- Full GMC registration with Specialist Register accreditation in Endocrinology & Diabetes Mellitus
- A current Licence to Practise
- Demonstrable experience working at Consultant level in Diabetes & Endocrinology within the NHS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
