Overview
In this role you will lead and develop clinical pharmacy services for cancer patients, aligning with the Trustβs mission to provide outstanding care. You will influence senior clinicians and manage service improvements within the Cancer Division, while supporting professional development and postgraduate education. The position offers a comprehensive induction and strong backing from senior pharmacy staff in a collaborative, forward-thinking team. Responsibilities
- Act as a Senior Pharmacist for Cancer Services
- Deputise for Team Leader and represent the team across organisational interfaces
- Serve as an expert pharmacist for cancer services, contributing to advanced decision making
- Manage and implement services to improve pharmaceutical care and extend clinical practice
- Identify and support CIP initiatives within the directorate and participate in drug budget management
- Lead service improvement initiatives through multidisciplinary collaboration for timely medicine provision
- Participate in clinical audit, research, risk management and guideline development
Key requirements
- B. Pharm / M. Pharm / BSc (Pharmacy)
- GPhC registration
- Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or General Pharmacy Practice
- Working towards Independent Non-medical Prescriber
- Mandatory ongoing CPD
- Substantial post-qualification experience in clinical pharmacy
- Experience in directorate work including drug expenditure reporting and formulary management
- Experience in delivering training and education at undergraduate/postgraduate levels
- Experience in multidisciplinary communication and risk management
- Experience coordinating and leading audits and pharmacist-led discharge medication
- Strong communication skills
