Overview

In this role you will support the Imaging service at WMUH by assisting the Deputy and General Managers in delivering objectives and leading selected projects.

You will manage staff, coordinate innovation and service-improvement initiatives, and ensure appraisal and development plans.

You will oversee diagnostics performance metrics and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to sustain quality, efficiency, and patient experience.

This is a hands-on role with a clear impact on service delivery and governance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on operational management of the imaging service to meet service standards
  • Monitor and deliver key quality, productivity and performance targets (e. g., DM01 and Cancer)
  • Investigate and coordinate administrative/medical complaints with cross-functional teams
  • Manage and implement innovation and service-improvement projects in the Directorate
  • Lead effective communications via regular team and departmental briefings
  • Promote excellent patient experience and customer service, addressing issues promptly
  • Support quality governance objectives including risk management and incident reporting/investigation
  • Participate in business planning with multidisciplinary input
  • Ensure templates, schedules and rotas meet capacity and patient needs
  • Assist Deputy General Manager with policy development and updates
  • Support patient and staff surveys and remedial action planning
