Overview

You will join a long-standing Enfield practice to manage a diverse GP caseload in a busy primary care setting. You’ll uphold high standards of care for registered and temporary patients while working within a supportive clinical team. The role involves autonomous decision-making, broad clinical duties, and contributing to quality improvement and audit. This is an opportunity to impact patient care at scale in a community with deep roots. You’ll collaborate with partners, nurses, and admin staff to deliver comprehensive primary care.

Responsibilities

  • Surgery and telephone consultations, home visits, and managing repeat prescriptions
  • Make autonomous clinical decisions on presenting problems
  • Assess undifferentiated health needs and risk factors
  • Develop and implement care plans aligned with disease management protocols
  • Provide health education and counselling
  • Admit/discharge patients and refer to other providers as appropriate
  • Maintain clear, contemporaneous notes and data for audits
  • Contribute to computer-based patient records and read-coding
  • Work within practice policies on confidentiality, data protection, and safety
  • Participate in audit and quality improvement activities
  • Promote infection control and safety across the practice
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training

Key requirements

  • Fully Qualified GP
  • MRCGP
  • GMC full registration
  • Currently on a performers list
  • Full driving licence
  • GP clinical system EMIS Web experience
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Team working and problem-solving abilities
  • Evidence of self-directed learning and evidence-based practice
  • Excellent communication (oral and written)
