Overview
In this role you will oversee the day-to-day operations of unscheduled care to help deliver the Trust’s strategic plan. You will work closely with divisional teams and external partners to ensure safe, personal, and effective care. You will represent the Trust at external meetings and forums, advancing the organisation’s interests. This is an opportunity to drive transformation in urgent care, shape operational plans, and lead large-scale improvement within a respected NHS trust.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of unscheduled care
- Drive unscheduled care performance to meet strategic objectives
- Collaborate with divisional teams and external health economy partners
- Represent the Trust at external meetings and forums
- Coordinate and lead trust-wide activities to meet targets within financial controls
- Develop and implement operational plans to achieve success
- Support quality service delivery within a complex environment
- Lead and influence senior multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders
Key requirements
- Degree level or professional qualification and/or equivalent experience
- Postgraduate degree (e.g., Masters) or equivalent
- Ability to analyse, disseminate and present complex information (verbal and written)
- Outcome-focused with a passion for patient-centered care
- Knowledge of healthcare nationally and globally
- Extensive senior operational experience at or near Board level in an NHS Acute Trust
- Experience with Executive and Non-Executive Directors
- Track record of change management and service improvement
- Experience negotiating with stakeholders
- Evidence of leading highly skilled senior teams
- Networking and information gathering
