Overview
In this role you will lead delivery of digital projects within the Division’s Digital Team, aligning with CW ICT strategy. You will manage multi-site initiatives across clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, using PRINCE2 and related standards to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes. You’ll champion project information systems to support service development and governance, while maintaining robust project documentation. Responsibilities
- Manage projects within time, budget and scope tolerances and ensure alignment with other initiatives.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with external suppliers, meeting contractual and statutory obligations.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met, including safety reporting, documentation provision, progress reports, and reporting.
- Identify and resolve complex project risks and issues.
- Assist with contingency and disaster recovery planning for assigned projects.
- Design and develop operational policies, procedures, and training requirements for the project.
- Provide timely highlight/exception reports to boards and committees.
- Establish cross-functional teams and user groups to drive the project forward and clarify responsibilities.
- Monitor projects to ensure delivery of proposed business benefits and assist with benefits realisation.
- Coordinate design, development, and testing of systems to meet user and stakeholder needs, ensuring fitness for purpose.
- Identify system enhancements and escalate through Change processes.
- Manage part of the budget and digital systems within remit.
- Train key stakeholders as required.
Key requirements
- Degree level education or equivalent experience
- Project management qualification
- Specific experience in project management or change management
- Substantial experience managing IT and/or healthcare-related projects
- Experience of implementing complex digital projects
- Direct project experience in the NHS
- Budget management
- Understanding of Core NHS Information Systems
- Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced IT skills and proficiency with Microsoft Project
