Overview
In this role you will support the General Manager to run a compliant, person-centred care home that is safe and engaging for residents and visitors. You lead the care team, oversee medication processes, and monitor resident wellbeing while meeting professional standards and business targets. You will contribute to audits, quality reporting, and weekly clinical discussions, helping to uphold Avery’s caring culture. Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager to operate a compliant, person-centred care home
- Provide inspirational leadership and management to the staff team
- Ensure adherence to medication policies and assist in reviewing medication/administration
- Monitor wellbeing of residents and changes impacting care plans
- Complete monthly audits and quality indicator reports and other required reports
- Attend weekly clinical meetings and monitor clinical risk areas
- Contribute to maintaining professional and statutory standards and commercial performance targets
Key requirements
- Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar care environment in a management position
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Competence in using IT systems
- Adaptability and flexibility to cover diverse responsibilities at short notice
- DBS disclosure check and eligibility to work in the UK (as per policy)
