Overview
Join Whittington Health as a Critical Care Consultant, with one post in Anaesthesia and another focused on Critical Care Outreach. Responsibilities
- Contribute to a well-structured Critical Care department and its training of resident staff
- Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate education and audit data collection
- Provide expert management of the critically ill adult and run organ support procedures
- Support department activities and contribute to the sample job plan
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality patient care
Key requirements
- Full GMC Registration
- Entry onto the Specialist Register via CCT in ICM or CESR in ICM (within 6 months of interview)
- Higher Qualification in Critical Care Medicine (FFICM or European Diploma in ICM)
- For split posts with Anaesthetics, CCT in Anaesthetics or CESR in Anaesthetics (within 6 months of interview)
- Effective teaching and training skills
- Strong communication with staff and patients
- Leadership and team-working abilities
- Experience in intensive care medicine with organ support techniques
- Experience of ICU Outreach
- Familiarity with GPICS standards
