Job summaryThe Transplant Surgery Department is seeking to appoint a full-time (10 PA), substantive surgical Consultant to join our dynamic, enthusiastic and forward-thinking team. Main duties of the jobApplications are invited for one Consultant Surgeon in Transplantation with a specialist interest in Dialysis Access or Transplant Urological Surgery, who will help us to meet and surpass the challenges of our expanding clinical, academic and training portfolio. The successful candidate will be expected to play an active role not only in delivering excellent clinical care, but also in service development, education, research, innovation and clinical governance. We particularly welcome applicants who will bring complementary specialist expertise, demonstrate a commitment to collaborative multidisciplinary working, and share our ambition to keep the service at the forefront of contemporary practice. The appointee will join the existing team of 13 Transplant Surgeons, 15 Nephrologists (10 WTE), and two Consultant Nurses. About usThe Trust includes St Thomas' Hospital, Guy's Hospital, Evelina London Children's Hospital and both adult and children's community services in Lambeth and Southwark. The Royal Brompton Hospital and Harefield Hospital are also part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. We provide a full range of hospital services for our local communities in Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham, as well as specialist services for patients from further afield, including cancer, cardiothoracic, women's and children's services, kidney care and orthopaedics.
