Overview
In this role you will lead assessments and initial treatment plans for referrals to the RAPT pathway as part of Oxleas’ Community Psychosis redesign. You will work across Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich, delivering flexible, face-to-face or remote assessments and collaborating with AMHPs, crisis teams and borough EIP colleagues. You will contribute to care planning, supervision of trainees, and safeguarding and business continuity, shaping an assertive, evidence-based pathway for psychosis care. This role offers cross-borough influence within a supportive, values-driven Trust known for staff wellbeing and performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, diagnosis and initial treatment plan for referrals to RAPT, including bio-psycho-social formulation.
- Deliver flexible assessments across multiple boroughs (face-to-face default; video/phone as adjunct).
- Collaborate with Acute Directorate and AMHP teams for crisis requiring intensified care.
- Produce contemporaneous documentation (Rio) and initial care plan.
- Share workload fairly with trainees and other team members, ensuring time for supervision and case discussion.
- Support team administrators with referrals and GP letter completion.
- Participate in MDT meetings and daily huddle/referrals.
- Provide educational supervision to the higher trainee.
- Adhere to GMC and Royal College standards of conduct and ethics.
- Communicate proactively with clinical and operational staff across all Oxleas Boroughs.
- Ensure patient safety, provide safeguarding knowledge, and report incidents.
- Understand and implement the business continuity management system.
