Overview
In this role you will join a growing team at Whipps Cross Hospital as a substantive Consultant Physician in Acute and Renal Medicine. You will develop new service models to support patients at the hospital and in the community, shaping the department's future. You are expected to have GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT. This is a high-impact post within a leading NHS trust, offering professional growth and leadership opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Develop new service models and working patterns to support hospital and community patients
- Play a role in departmental and wider-service development for the future
- Provide expert care in General Internal Medicine and Renal Medicine
- Lead multidisciplinary teams and contribute to governance and quality improvement
Key requirements
- MBChB/MBBS
- MRCP (UK)
- Full GMC registration with license to practise
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or CESR within 6 months of interview
- Evidence of clinical experience in SDEC/ambulatory care and Renal Tubular disorders
- Experience in leading clinical services or projects is desirable
- Leadership of multidisciplinary teams
- Teaching and mentoring medical/nursing staff
- Effective written English communication
- General Internal Medicine knowledge at consultant level
- Nephrology/Renal Medicine knowledge at consultant level
- Clinical audit and quality improvement
