Job summaryApplications are invited for two posts available for Consultant Paediatric Cardiologist to join the Paediatric Cardiology Service within Evelina London Women's & Children's Clinical Group. This is a full-time post. It is a requirement of your employment that you be prepared to work at any additional or different location owned or served by the Trust, either on an on-going or temporary basis according to the demands of the service. Main duties of the jobThis post is full time (10 programmed activities) with the option for additional programmed activities available.This role will immerse the successful applicant fully within the paediatric cardiology team by undertaking cover of the inpatient service, outpatient clinics and support of clinics throughout the wider paediatric congenital heart network.The successful candidate will be on call for general paediatric cardiology.The post-holder will have regular contact with vulnerable adults and/or children (0-18 years) and therefore this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Criminal Records Bureau to check for any previous criminal convictions.Your hours of work will be as detailed in your job plan and may be varied from time to time in accordance with the Consultant Contract Terms and Conditions.About usPaediatric Cardiology Services sit within the Children's Cardio-Respiratory and Intensive Care (CRIC) directorate and are a joint service across Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals and Evelina London Children's Hospital. The Paediatric Cardiology Services are committed to meeting the standards set out by NHS England for the provision of congenital cardiac care for all age groups. There are 32 substantive consultant cardiologists within the service covering a range of sub-specialist areas including fetal cardiology, cardiac imaging, electrophysiology and interventional cardiology. Our cardiac surgeons perform the full range of congenital heart surgery.The Paediatric Cardiology Services have access to a full range of services across all age groups including fetal, neonatal and adult facilities at St Thomas' and also across the North West London Hospital Alliance.
