Enthusiastic Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in Glaucoma at Moorfields, delivering high-quality care across multiple sites. You will combine advanced clinical and surgical glaucoma practice with service development, teaching, and leadership. This full-time post supports expanding consultant-led services and innovative care models to improve access, efficiency and patient outcomes. You will work within a renowned, international glaucoma service and contribute to research and education.

Responsibilities
- Provide expert medical and surgical glaucoma care in outpatient, virtual and theatre settings
- Deliver consultant-led care across Moorfields North and City Road services
- Lead and develop glaucoma diagnostic and virtual review pathways
- Perform advanced glaucoma surgery, including complex procedures
- Supervise, teach and mentor fellows, trainees, specialist optometrists and multidisciplinary staff
- Participate in clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and service innovation
- Contribute to research, education and training within the Trust and wider ophthalmology community
- Participate in the Moorfields low-frequency glaucoma consultant on-call rota
Key requirements
- FRCOphth / MRCOphth or equivalent ophthalmic qualification
- CCT in Ophthalmology (or within 6 months)
- Full GMC Registration (Licence to Practise)
- Be on or eligible for the GMC specialist register (within 6 months)
- 2 years recognised post-CCT glaucoma fellowship training
- Experience of innovation and management of High Volume Ophthalmic Diagnostic Hubs
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to lead & coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to job
- High level glaucoma surgical experience including filtration, tube and revision surgeries
- Excellent surgical competence in modern cataract surgery
- Ability to lead & coordinate clinical and multi-professional teams
