The Evelina London Children's Hospital is seeking to appoint a substantive 10 PA consultant post to join the Paediatric Neurosciences department. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly driven team in an active and progressive central London teaching hospital environment.
Main duties of the job include:
- Supporting the Paediatric Neurology movement, neuromuscular and rehabilitation service.
- Participating in the Paediatric Neurology on-call rota for ELCH on an approximate 1 in 9 basis.
The Paediatric Neuroscience Service provides an integrated and comprehensive neurology, neurorehabilitation and neurodisability service to children and families from Southeast Thames and beyond. The Neurodisability service focuses on improving quality of life for children with progressive and non-progressive physical disability.
Person Specification:
- Professional Qualifications: Eligible for full UK GMC/GDC registration and a License to Practice. MRCPCH by examination or equivalent. On GDC/GMC Specialist Register for Paediatric Neurodisability, Paediatrics or Paediatric Neurology (OR within six months of CCT at time of scheduled interview).
- Clinical Experience: Previous experience/commitment to Movement service MDTs and Tertiary Paediatric neurodisability service.
- Clinical Skills: Clinical skills associated with management of acute and chronic neuro-disabling conditions.
- Research and Teaching: Track record of research, publications/presentations and experience of teaching and training undergraduates, postgraduates and junior medical staff.
- Leadership/Management Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and build rapport, take responsibility, lead, and work cooperatively with others.
