Overview

In this role you will join the Neurology teams across Whipps Cross and the Royal London Hospital to deliver general neurology clinics and a sub-specialty headache clinic. You will participate in the daytime on-call rota, support Advice and Guidance, and assist with acute neurology cover as part of a broader East London NHS Trust mission to deliver high-quality, safe care. The post is anchored in a redevelopment-driven context with opportunities to shape neurology services in collaboration with a renowned neuroscience hub.

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly General Neurology Clinics at Whipps Cross Hospital
  • Deliver a Sub-Speciality Headache Clinic at the Royal London Hospital
  • Participate in Neurology Consultant daytime on-call rota at Whipps Cross
  • Support Advice and Guidance and assist with Acute Neurology Cover at the Royal London Hospital
  • Contribute to service development within the redeveloping trust

Key requirements

  • MRCP(UK) or approved equivalent specialist qualification
  • Full GMC registration with licence to practise
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist register (or eligible within 6 months) for Neurology by CCT or CESR
  • Experience in neurology clinics and neurology ward management
  • Experience in Headache Neurology
  • Collaborative with multidisciplinary teams
  • Effective staff and resource management
  • Strong communication with GPs and professionals across hospital and community settings
