In this role you will join two Consultant Anaesthetists to deliver adult and paediatric general anaesthesia across Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. You will provide cover for emergency, trauma, labour ward, and elective lists within a diverse surgical environment. The post supports service expansion and a mix of fixed and flexible sessions with a focus on patient safety and education. A clear job plan and a potential for a fifth specialty session help shape your workload and professional development.
Pay / Benefits
- Provide adult and paediatric general anaesthesia across Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals
- Cover emergency, trauma, and labour ward cases as well as elective theatre lists
- Participate in two weekend elective lists and weekday activity per job plan
- Engage in job planning and service development discussions within three months
- Support an expansion of anaesthesia services with cross-site coverage
- No on-call commitments; option for an 11th PA may be offered but not required
Tasks
- Full GMC registration with license to practice MB BS or equivalent
- On GMC Specialist Register via CCT in Anaesthesia (within six months of interview)
- FRCA or equivalent
- Desirable: MD/PhD
- Desirable: ATLS/ALS/EPLS/APLS certificates and related teaching qualifications
