Overview
In this role you will lead clinical work within the Enhanced Treatment Team at Kensington & Chelsea CAMHS, shaping care for children and young people with complex presentations. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and external peers to develop innovative service models and improve outcomes. The post includes teaching, research links with Imperial College London, and opportunities for leadership and quality improvement. You will contribute to risk management, data monitoring, and child-focused interventions in a Tier 3 CAMHS setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership within the team
- Identify risk and coordinate psychiatry involvement for MDT patients
- Contribute to psychiatric assessment and treatment for ASD, ADHD, anxiety, depression and other disorders
- Support the Case Manager in risk assessment and management
- Participate in multidisciplinary ASD assessments
- Coordinate joint treatment plans with paediatric colleagues for complex conditions
- Liaise with NHS England, Commissioners and Tier 4 services when required
- Help develop new service models and ensure alignment with evidence-based practice
- Contribute to clinical outcome data collection to support KPIs
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to incident reporting
- Develop clinical protocols and participate in CPD and supervision
- Work in accordance with service policies and guidelines
Key requirements
- Full GMC Registration
- Approved Clinician status or willingness to apply
- GMC Licence to Practice
- Primary Medical Degree
- Inclusion on Specialist Register for Psychiatry (or CCT expected within 6 months)
- MRCPsych or equivalent (desirable)
- Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (or CCT expected within 6 months) (desirable)
- Experience/interest in learning disability (desirable)
- Excellent communication and empathy
- Demonstrable leadership

- Competence in psycho-pharmacology and non-medication therapies
- Assessment and management of neurodevelopmental disorders (ASD/ADHD)
- Knowledge of Clinical Governance/Care Quality and Medical Audit
