Overview
In this leadership role, you will steer the Croydon Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team and drive ongoing service development for children, young people and families. You will ensure high-quality, evidence-based neurodevelopmental care and oversee performance, waiting lists, and governance processes. Responsibilities
- Provide operational and clinical leadership to the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Team
- Lead development and improvement of the neurodevelopmental service with emphasis on high-quality care
- Monitor performance, quality standards, and KPIs
- Oversee waiting lists to ensure timely access to assessment and intervention
- Provide supervision to team members and support professional development
- Lead investigation and learning from SUIs and governance processes
- Manage the team's budget and contribute to resource management
- Ensure practice aligns with national, professional, and organisational standards
- Drive operational effectiveness and support service objectives
- Offer expert clinical consultation for complex assessments and treatments
Key requirements
- Specialist clinical knowledge in neurodevelopmental presentations (ADHD/ASD)
- Experience leading change and working in NHS or similar organisations
- Experience assessing young people with neurodevelopmental presentations and comorbidities
- Current UK professional registration
- Evidence-based practice and knowledge of legislative/quality frameworks governing mental health and social care
- Effective communications and relationship-building at all levels
- Collaborative and cross-agency working
- Report writing and presenting to stakeholders
- Evidence-based practice in neurodevelopmental care
- Governance and quality improvement
