Overview
As Clinical Operations Manager, you will provide operational and system leadership for the Barnet Integrated Transfer of Care Hub and Hospital at Home service. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across CLCH, Barnet Hospital and Barnet Adult Social Care to improve patient flow, safe discharge, and outcomes while keeping services high-quality and sustainable. You will drive service transformation, performance improvement, and workforce planning with system partners, using data to identify opportunities. This is a visible, collaborative leadership role shaping care across organisational boundaries with a clear impact on patients.

Responsibilities
- Provide operational and system leadership for the Barnet Integrated Transfer of Care Hub and Hospital at Home service
- Lead multi‑disciplinary teams across CLCH, Barnet Hospital and Barnet Adult Social Care
- Improve patient flow, timely discharge, admission avoidance and length of stay
- Lead service transformation and pathway development with ICB, acute services, local authority and system partners
- Monitor performance, quality and outcome data; implement action plans
- Provide visible leadership supporting workforce planning, recruitment, retention and staff development
- Lead demand and capacity planning to ensure services are sustainable and responsive
- Manage budgets and resources, promoting efficiency and value for money
- Maintain governance including oversight of risk, incidents, complaints and learning
- Champion patient and carer experience to improve access and equity
Key requirements
- Significant NHS operational management experience
- Management qualification or equivalent experience
- Professional clinical qualification or significant NHS experience
- Masters level education or equivalent experience
- Experience of budget management
- Substantial experience at a senior level in community healthcare services
- Change management and service transformation experience
- Experience of staff management
- Evidence of continuing personal and professional development
- Desirable: experience of managing patient care services
- Desirable: stakeholder engagement and project coordination experience
- Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex concepts clearly
- Ability to build credibility with senior managers and clinicians
