Overview
In this role you lead medical and translational haematology care within the lymphoma service, shaping transfusion practice and collaborations with laboratory teams. You drive safe, evidence-based care and patient involvement across a high-volume outpatient and inpatient unit. You will work with multidisciplinary colleagues to advance complex therapies, including CAR-T and stem cell transplantation, in line with Imperial College Healthcare’s mission and values.

Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership of clinical and laboratory transfusion practices
- Ensure timely attendance at direct clinical care activities
- Involve patients in care decisions and respond to their views
- Develop safe transfusion practices and explore transfusion alternatives with clinical teams
- Maintain GMC registration and develop competencies to meet post requirements
- Collaborate with colleagues to support lymphoma care and major haematology services
- Contribute to governance, audit, and teaching within the department
Key requirements
- MBBS or equivalent
- GMC registered
- UK-trained applicants: CCT or within 6 months of award; non-UK: evidence of UK CCT equivalence
- MRCP and FRCPath or equivalent
- Specialist training in clinical haematology
- Experience in lymphoma management
- IT skills and computer literacy
- Experience in CART (CAR-T) therapy
- Desirable: experience in autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation
- Proven leadership, decision-making, people management and knowledge of NHS finance structures
- English language proficiency
- Understanding of clinical governance and audit
- Experience in teaching and training medical staff
