Overview

In this Band 6 Clinical Associate Psychologist role, you will support two Clinical Psychologists within local mental health teams to provide psychological interventions for adults with diverse mental health needs. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary service, delivering individual and group clinical work across in-person, telephone, and digital settings. You will help plan, deliver, and evaluate evidence-based interventions and contribute to service development and training. The role offers close collaboration with local teams and opportunities to impact community mental health in Nottinghamshire.

Responsibilities

  • Work semi-autonomously within supervised scope of practice in adult mental health services
  • Deliver psychology services as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Conduct psychological assessments and provide treatments across diverse settings (in person, telephone, digital)
  • Provide staff training and contribute to research and development activities
  • Liaise with health, social care and voluntary sector partners
  • Possess and maintain a full UK driving licence for business use

Key requirements

  • Masters Clinical Associate in Psychology qualification
  • Eligibility for registration on the BPS Wider Psychological Workforce register
  • Relevant supervised experience delivering psychological assessments and interventions in Adult Mental Health services
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Full UK driving licence for business use
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; rapport-building and empathetic communication
  • Strong written and verbal communication; presenting clearly
  • Team-oriented and collaborative
  • Psychological assessment, formulation, intervention and evaluation
  • Planning, delivering and evaluating evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Good IT skills and data collection/research capabilities
