Overview
In this role you join an innovative MDT to deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessment and treatment for 12–18-year-olds with complex mental health needs. You will coordinate care, work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists and social workers, and support families and carers. The post offers opportunities to contribute to service development, research, and quality improvement within CAMHS. You will work in partnership with local agencies to provide timely, collaborative care and safe, person-centered interventions.

Responsibilities
- Participate as an MDT member in assessment and treatment of young people
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date recording and reporting of client contact
- Collect and collate clinical activity information (ePJS)
- Maintain a safe therapeutic environment and high-quality clinical systems
- Uphold professional standards for child, young person and family care
- Engage with statutory/voluntary agencies and CAMHS teams for joint work
- Attend meetings and undertake line-manager negotiated responsibilities
- Conduct mental health and risk assessments, following supervision
- Provide rapid response/intervention to referrals and work across interfaces
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers and professionals
- Lead and participate in joint complex assessments; provide reports as required
- Coordinate case management for varying risk levels and develop care plans
- Deliver NICE-based interventions using individual, group, family work
- Support and supervise trainees; contribute to teaching and research
Key requirements
- Experience in a Community or specialist CAMHS multidisciplinary team
- Multi-agency working and safeguarding knowledge
- Strong risk assessment and documentation skills
- Proficiency with electronic notes and record keeping
- Ability to work in partnership with service users and carers
- Experience with timely, coordinated care and joint agency work
- UK professional registration in relevant field
- Knowledge of MHA, MCA and safeguarding legislation (essential)
- Ability to deliver evidence-based interventions and NICE-guideline–based care
