Overview
In this role you provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership for the Horizon Service within Lewisham CAMHS. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care and drive service transformation across integrated neighbourhood teams. You’ll collaborate with partners across health, education, social care and the voluntary sector to improve access, experience and outcomes for children and young people. The role offers an opportunity to shape future care models and contribute to system-wide development in a forward-thinking, ambitious team.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership for the Horizon Service
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team to maintain high standards of care
- Drive service performance, quality improvement and delivery against targets
- Oversee demand, capacity, referrals, waiting lists and patient flow
- Ensure governance, safeguarding, risk management and patient safety processes
- Lead service transformation and innovation to improve outcomes
- Develop partnerships with education, social care, primary care, health and voluntary sector organisations
- Support workforce development, recruitment, retention and staff wellbeing
- Contribute to strategic leadership and future development of Lewisham CAMHS and integrated neighbourhood services
- Shape integrated neighbourhood-based care across Lewisham CAMHS
Key requirements
- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment in CAMHS
- Experience supervising and relevant training
- Experience of managing financial budgets
- Experience of research, audit or service evaluation projects
- Advanced knowledge of psychosocial theories and mental health treatment
- Knowledge of child protection, mental health legislation and equalities
- Ability to communicate complex information sensitively
- Teaching and training skills for other professional groups
