We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated nurse or equivalent clinician to be part of a team that is at the heart of the Acute and Urgent Care Service Line in managing bed capacity and demand. As well as keeping the flow of patients moving through our acute wards, you will also have a key role in managing any operational issues out of hours that might affect the three hospital sites and can impact the safe and efficient functioning of the service. The successful candidates will be actively involved in service development and improvement. This opportunity will provide you with an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in management, leadership, problem-solving as well as decision-making and interagency working.

Main duties of the job:

  • To update the Bed Waiting List in order to accurately reflect referrals for assessment, referrals for bed, sources, location, breach times and other relevant data to support prioritisation.
  • To follow the London Compact for Mental Health Guidance.
