Overview
In this Bank Band 6 Podiatrist role you will work within our community podiatry services, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple sites. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and manage diverse caseloads, including domiciliary patients, while supervising junior staff and mentoring students. The role offers flexible working across clinic locations and a focus on safe, evidence-based practice with opportunities to escalate specialist input when needed. This position supports service development and aims to improve outcomes for local communities.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with podiatry and health care teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Supervise and delegate tasks to junior clinicians and Podiatry Assistants; mentor students
- Refer to Highly Specialist Clinicians when specialist input is required
- Maintain flexibility to work across multiple clinic locations and domiciliary settings
- Manage a domiciliary caseload as needed
Key requirements
- HCPC registration
- BSc Degree In Podiatric Medicine or Diploma (if qualified prior 1991)
- Certificate in local anaesthesia
- Postgraduate clinical experience in multidisciplinary work and high/at-risk foot care
- Experience in NHS environment and clinical supervision/mentoring (Desirable)
- Excellent communication
- Organisational skills
- Ability to support anxious patients and provide reassurance
- Podiatric theory and practice
- Foot orthotic design and manufacture
- RCoP and HCPC codes of conduct
