Overview
As Bank Specialist Podiatrist in biomechanics, you assess and treat biomechanical and MSK conditions within a community setting, guiding colleagues and contributing to service development. You lead on clinically sound biomechanics care across clinics and hospitals, and provide education to staff and patients. You will act as a clinical leader, shaping best practice and supporting multidisciplinary teams. This role offers flexibility to work across Harrow or Brent and supports your development in a compassionate, high-performing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert biomechanical assessment, diagnosis and treatment for MSK and neuromuscular conditions
- Lead and educate podiatry staff in biomechanical assessment and MSK interventions
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans and advise multidisciplinary colleagues
- Review guidelines and contribute to MSK projects
- Collaborate across sectors to develop and adapt services based on user feedback
- Support and mentor junior staff and promote best practice
Key requirements
- Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
- Certificate in local anaesthesia
- Postgraduate courses/education in Biomechanics / MSK (Cert or Diploma to M level)
- Experience at band 6 level or above with high-risk caseloads
- Experience of multidisciplinary and interagency working
- Experience in NHS environment and service development
- Up-to-date knowledge of biomechanics and MSK treatment
