Overview
As UTC ECP, you will provide clinical leadership within a new Urgent Treatment Centre, working autonomously in a diverse, multi-skilled team. You will offer expert advice and second opinions to junior staff and contribute to governance and CPD. The role involves night shifts across a 365-day service, with opportunities for personal growth and to influence urgent care in South-East London. You will collaborate with GPs, Advanced Practitioners, Physician Associates, and other clinicians to shape patient care.

Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for patients through the streaming process
- Assess and plan/implement/evaluate clinical treatment using advanced knowledge
- Assess diagnostics (ECG, bloods, urinalysis, X-rays)
- Discuss treatment options with patients and carers
- Implement clinical management changes when appropriate
- Contribute to care guidelines and standards
- Support Health and Safety and Risk Management in area of work
- Deliver Clinical Governance and participate in UTC auditing
- Manage other clinical team members within UTC
Key requirements
- Qualified Emergency Care Practitioner (Level 6 or above)
- Minimum 2 years experience in Primary/Urgent/Emergency Care within last 5 years
- Knowledge of clinical systems (EMIS/Cerner/Adastra/CLEO)
- Good interpersonal and patient care skills
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload
- UK professional registration (GMC or NMC)
- Annual NHS appraisal
- Excellent communication

- Confidentiality and professional conduct
