Overview

In this role you will provide high-risk wound care and diabetic foot management within a community setting, contributing to a multidisciplinary team. You will support patients across Bromley, with opportunities to develop MSK and minor surgery skills and to collaborate with hospital diabetic foot services. Your work will emphasize patient empowerment, education, and safe care delivery, including domiciliary visits. Responsibilities

  • Deliver wound care and high-risk podiatry treatments for at-risk patients
  • Manage a community caseload with domiciliary visits as needed
  • Develop Musculoskeletal podiatry knowledge and participate in minor surgery clinics
  • Coordinate care with internal and external departments and nursing staff
  • Assess, diagnose, and formulate treatment plans; escalate concerns appropriately
  • Promote patient education and empowerment
  • Organise visits for patients unable to attend clinics and ensure service criteria are met
  • Engage in CPD and in-house training opportunities
  • Travel independently across the locality and use own vehicle for work purposes

Key requirements

  • HCPC registration
  • Post-graduate experience with high-risk wound care caseload
  • Experience in minor surgical procedures and biomechanics (orthoses)
  • Full patient assessment skills (medical history, vascular, neuropathic) and treatment planning
  • Knowledge of orthoses fabrication and evaluation; gait analysis
  • Local analgesia injection experience (Desirable)
  • Driver's licence and access to a car for work
