Overview
You join RTN’s remote ASD assessment pathway to support high-quality autism evaluations for children and adults. In this role you contribute clinical expertise within a multidisciplinary team, performing elements of ASD assessments, interviewing, observations and ADOS-2 as appropriate. You help ensure respectful, professional, and neuroaffirming assessments while aligning with the service’s values-led culture. This position offers flexible, remote working and meaningful impact by improving access to autism assessments.

Responsibilities
- Complete agreed components of autism assessments for children and/or adults as part of RTN's diagnostic pathway
- Gather, review and interpret clinical information; complete structured assessments and clear clinical reports
- Contribute to MDT discussions and diagnostic decision-making with findings and recommendations
- Provide clear, sensitive, neuroaffirming feedback to individuals and families
- Deliver assessments with empathy, professionalism and respect for lived experience
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with clinical safeguarding and information governance standards
- Work within professional scope of practice and maintain registration and clinical competence
- Ensure a respectful, professional and supportive assessment experience
Key requirements
- A recognised qualification in Clinical Psychology
- Current HCPC registration
- Formal ADOS-2 training and experience administering, scoring and reporting on ADOS-2
- Experience working with children and/or adults in autism assessment pathways
- Experience contributing to multidisciplinary diagnostic discussions and decision-making
- Strong clinical assessment, formulation and professional judgement
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider clinical team
- Appropriate professional indemnity insurance
