Care Practitioner. Parklands Care Home in Liverpool

At Parklands Care Home, we are dedicated to providing outstanding, person-centred care in a warm, supportive and welcoming environment. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Practitioner to join our team and help make a positive difference to the lives of our residents every day.

As a Care Practitioner, you will play an important role in supporting residents to live comfortably, safely and with dignity. Working as part of a caring and professional team, you will build meaningful relationships with residents and contribute to creating a positive home environment where wellbeing, choice and independence are promoted. Main duties of the job

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in accordance with individual care plans.
• Support residents with daily living activities while encouraging independence and choice.
• Promote residents' dignity, privacy, comfort and wellbeing at all times.
• Build positive and professional relationships with residents, relatives and visitors.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational and meaningful activities.
• Monitor residents' wellbeing and report concerns or changes appropriately.
• Support residents with nutrition, hydration and general wellbeing needs where required.
• Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support to residents.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity and consistency of care.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment throughout the home.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
• Participate in mandatory training and ongoing learning and development opportunities.
• Uphold the values and standards of Parklands Care Home and Sandstone Care Group.
• Support colleagues and contribute positively to a culture of teamwork, respect and professionalism.
• Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the effective operation of the home.

Person Specification

We are particularly interested in candidates who have previous experience in a care environment, whether in residential care, home care or healthcare support. If you have experience supporting people with personal care, mobility, dementia, or daily living activities we want to hear from you. However, experience isn't everything. If you don't have a care background but you have:

• A genuine passion for helping others
• A strong desire to work in the care sector
• A naturally warm, patient and empathetic approach
• The motivation to learn and develop new skills

then we will still consider your application and provide full training. We're looking for people who are reliable, compassionate, great team players and committed to delivering excellent care whether you're experienced or just starting your career in care.
