Overview

Horncastle Medical Group invites a motivated GP to join a friendly multidisciplinary team. The role offers 8 sessions per week, with part-time options. You will work with a diverse clinical group and contribute to training, quality improvement, and expanded services. The practice uses SystmOne and provides on-site dispensing, in a welcoming Old Vicarage setting. This is a growth phase with new clinical rooms and ongoing development that supports clinicians to shape patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct face-to-face, telephone and online consultations
  • Assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Prescribe and review medications appropriately
  • Make referrals to secondary and community services when needed
  • Support disease prevention, health promotion and long-term condition management
  • Maintain accurate clinical records using SystmOne
  • Collaborate with GP Partners, ANPs, Paramedic, Mental Health Practitioner and wider team
  • Participate in clinical meetings, audits and quality-improvement activities
  • Contribute to learning and development within the training practice
  • Support safe, effective development of practice services

Key requirements

  • recognised medical qualification
  • full GMC registration
  • eligible for NHS England Medical Performers List or eligible for inclusion
  • appropriate experience and competence to work as a GP in UK general practice
  • excellent clinical and communication skills
