The vacant post is full time working 37 hours per week. Whilst it is preferred that the post is taken as full time, should there be more than one candidate willing to work a job share then this could be considered.

Main duties of the job:

• Provide primary and occupational Healthcare in line with General Medical Council (GMC) Standards to ensure that the organisational and Principal/Senior Medical Officer's (PMO/SMO) objectives are achieved to optimise patient care.
• Provide general medical care to all registered patients during normal practice hours.
• Promote and maximise the health, wellbeing, and employability of Service personnel.
• Conduct mandatory medical examinations and deliver occupational health advice, including associated administrative duties.
• Provide preventative healthcare advice to individuals and Chain of Command.
• Oversee the management, monitoring, and reporting of communicable diseases.
• Deliver primary care emergency treatment where required within the establishment.
• Maintain an active role in clinical governance.
• Participate in audit activities aligned with personal and practice development plans.
• Work collaboratively with the primary healthcare team and line management.
• Undertake clinical leadership, including elements of line management where applicable.

Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is SC. If found successful for this position, you will be required to provide evidence of your immunity to Hepatitis B. Please note that evidence of your vaccination is not proof of your immunity, but your serology levels will be required. Failure to provide sufficient evidence may result in the offer of employment being withdrawn.
