Overview
In this role you guide and support a team delivering early intervention mental health support for children and young people. You are part of the Compass Bloom Mental Health Support Team, collaborating with schools to implement evidence-based interventions and promote whole-school wellbeing. You will undertake a postgraduate Supervising Practitioner qualification to provide high-quality clinical supervision and reflective spaces. You’ll manage a small caseload while mentoring colleagues and driving service quality and consistency alongside School partners and Team Leaders.

Responsibilities
- Guide and support a team delivering early intervention mental health support to children and young people
- Deliver evidence-based interventions in collaboration with schools and promote whole-school approaches to wellbeing
- Provide high-quality clinical supervision, reflective spaces, and day-to-day guidance to colleagues
- Maintain a small caseload working directly with young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties
- Embed good practice, support professional development, and uphold high standards of care
- Work with schools, Team Leaders and the wider Compass team to drive quality and consistency across the service
- Contribute to service development and ensure practitioners feel supported and safe in practice
Key requirements
- EMHP qualification or equivalent therapeutic experience (2 years post-qualification)
- Experience of clinical supervision, mentoring or supporting colleagues
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions, CBT-informed practice, safeguarding and risk management
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with children, young people, families, schools and partner agencies
- Ability to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions and work collaboratively
- Solution-focused approach, professional integrity and commitment to continuous learning
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
