Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of patients in a primary care setting
  • Conduct patient consultations, home visits, and telephone consultations
  • Check and sign repeat prescriptions and handle paperwork
  • Develop care plans with patients and provide counselling and health education
  • Prescribe in line with formulary/generics where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate consultation notes and participate in audits
  • Attend training, meetings, and contribute to clinical standard setting and IT improvements
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver extended services

Key requirements

  • GP Vocational Training Scheme completion
  • Certificate of Prescribed Experience or equivalent (PMETB) or GMC registration
  • Full current GMC Registration
  • Desirable: MRCGP or FP Cert/portfolio learning
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
