Overview
In this role you lead a specialist community therapy high-dependency service, guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centred, evidence-based care for complex cases. You will shape service development, participate in quality improvement and influence system-wide pathways in partnership with NHS and local authorities. The position combines advanced clinical practice with operational leadership, offering opportunities to drive transformation and demonstrate the value of therapy in patient care. This role suits an experienced therapist who enjoys leading change and working across organisations to maximise recovery and safe discharge.

Responsibilities
- Provide specialist clinical leadership to the High Dependency Team to ensure high-quality, person-centred care
- Manage a complex Occupational Therapy caseload with assessment, intervention planning, outcome evaluation and discharge planning
- Apply advanced clinical reasoning to advise and support colleagues, multi-disciplinary teams, service users and carers
- Lead referral management, waiting list prioritisation, care coordination and caseload management to promote independence and quality of life
- Provide specialist guidance on functional ability, risk management, equipment, adaptations and accessibility needs
- Deliver supervision, mentorship and leadership to OT team, support staff and students
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement, audit, research and evidence-based practice
- Support recruitment, workforce development and performance management
- Maintain records and governance compliance; investigate incidents and contribute to policy/service development
- Deputise for the Clinical/Service Lead as required
